“Equator Initiative Certificate of Excellence” The Equator Initiative Technical Advisory committee Awarded this Certificate of Excellence in recognition of the outstanding achievements of “Tribal Community of the Jeypore tract of Orissa” towards the conservation of Biodiversity and reduction of poverty in the Equatorial Belt at the World Summit on Sustainable Development, Johannesburg, South Africa on 30th August 2002.
Conferred to Mitsubishi Corporation of India, in recognition to its outstanding work in improving the Livelihood Security of the Tribal Community of Koraput, Odisha in Collaboration with MSSRF, under its corporate social responsibility programme.
Plant Genome Savior Community Award (2007 & 2010) by Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmer Rights Authority, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India, New Delhi to Panchabati Grama Unnayana Samiti, Jeypore for conserving, improving and making available plant genetic resource for the development of new plant varieties.
Mrs Chandrama Mosia of Nuaguda Village received the Folk fair Award, 2008 on behalf of Panchabati Grama Unnayana Samiti for the contribution towards conservation of Biodiversity.
Rashtriya Jal Puraskar (National Water Prize) from Ministry of Water Resources, Govt. of India 2010 under the NGO category for foundation’s innovative and exemplary immplementation of Bio-industrial Watershed Programme in Koraput District.
Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems recognized Traditional Agriculture System, Koraput, Odisha, India and certified it as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems for present and future generations. This system provides outstanding contribution to promoting, food security, biodiversity, indigenous knowledge and cultural diversity for sustainable and equitable development by FAO, Rome, Italy UNESCO in 2012.
In a global level recognition of the foundation’s work in water and Food Security initiative, M S Swaminathan Research Foundation was placed second at Globally humanitarian water and food award in 2014 (WAF) for its community managed Bio-industrial watershed initiative.
Mr. Dhan Gadaba from Bisoiput received Gopabandhu Jyoti Award in 2015 on behalf of Panchabati Grama Unnayana Samiti for the contribution towards conservation of Biodiversity.
M S Swaminathan Research Foundation received state level Agro-Biodiversity fair-cum-exhibition award in 2015 at OUAT, Bhubaneswar.
