MISSION
Promote sustainable livelihood and food & nutrition security of rural community through developing and demonstrating models for replication, leveraging agriculture for nutrition, women empowerment, grass-root Institution building, training, capacity building and awareness creation, convergence and policy advocacy.
Objectives of the Centre
- To promote sustainable agriculture and enhance productivity of agriculture crops for livelihood security.
- To document, characterize and conserve the bio-diversity through promotion of in-situ and ex-situ conservation and peoples biodiversity register.
- To establish village knowledge centre and village resource centre to disseminate government entitlements and technologies.
- To demonstrate and train farming communities with low cost appropriate technologies for crop improvement and management.

- Production enhancement and soil health management in dry land agriculture.
- Conservation of genetic resources, maintain genetic purity, and safe guard the Intellectual property rights.

- Reducing food and seed scarcity and maintain nutritional security to reduce malnourishment.
