Aim:
The aims of the project is to enhance the accessibility and availability of quality seeds of millet, pulses and oilseeds to strengthen the food security, livelihood and conserve natural resource base for sustainable production systems to enhance the income generation of the rural poor.
Objectives:
- To enhance the production and productivity of millet, pulses and oilseeds through the use of better seeds and improved cultivation practices.
- To strengthen local capability for production and supply of quality seed at the community level.
- To introduce drudgery-free seed/grain processing technology and assist women towards promotion of consumption of these grains and enhancing income by building value chain.
- To create awareness on the importance of millets and oil seed for food and nutritional security.
